THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THERUSTYBUCKETKIDS.COM:
This Multi-Platform Live Action Series is built on the premise that history can be brought to young audiences through action, adventure, a little sci-fi, and in an entertaining way: ‘education plus entertainment = edutainment’.
The television broadcast component (“A” story) offers engaging and exciting storyline action using historic accuracy, realistic situations and believable characters, while exploring contemporary social, youth-oriented issues through the historic characters in their pre-tween, tween and teenage years. This is a new and exciting way to explore American history through youthful eyes.
An ongoing present-day webisode series component (“B” story) will be combined in parallel with the “A” story. The webisodes will include fun, comedic characters with storylines that will add information relevant to the protagonists’ travels to historic times. There will be underlying family-values lessons in both components, including: working together, the power of positive thinking, confidence, pursuing your dreams, recognizing your talent, independence, the importance of family, courage, productivity, drawing from your personal experience and communication.
Characters from both components will, from time to time, crossover to enhance a particular plot line.
